Faculty Vision:

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
looks forward to becoming a research and extension educational institution, by
pursuing the development of veterinary medicine, whether for bachelor's
students or graduate students, to reach international standards adopted.
Be prominent and distinct in the
field of education and community service Through a comprehensive development
vision that contributes to the achievement of all faculty cadres from teachers,
professionals and administrators, In addition to developing integrated
strategic plans, which ensure the development of the country's livestock,
Providing high-quality graduates and recognizing the importance of this
profession, which governs their work and achieves commitment, responsibility
and leadership towards excellence and creativity in the veterinary field.
Consequently, the outputs are
increasing employment opportunities for graduates in both public and private
sectors. There must be continuous support in the modern medical and veterinary
fields that veterinarians can join, as well as progress, competition and
building a distinct model in veterinary medicine and related fields.

We seek to provide high quality
education in the field of veterinary medicine and other fields related to human
and food safety, by preparing distinguished graduates from students in the
field of drawing various sciences, and that the outputs of the College of
Veterinary Medicine are essential building blocks for veterinarians in the
country.
In addition to developing the
faculty's teaching staff, through their participation in courses outside Iraq,
while ensuring quality for the needs of the community by encouraging
outstanding research and pilot projects for teachers, and giving greater role
and incentives to research centers that can provide services to the community.
Faculty Objectives:

Qualifying graduates capable of continuous learning and competing
locally, regionally and globally in veterinary medicine;

Maintain vet education programs and create new programs.

Upgrade the veterinarian's professional performance and develop his
communication, decision-making and awareness of contemporary scientific and
technical issues in the field of veterinary medicine.

Improving faculty capacity as well as developing the faculty's
managerial competence

Improving the quality of scientific research and trying to apply it in
addition to improving the efficiency of quality assurance system to serve the
community.

To bring students to a level that qualifies them to perform the duties
of the veterinarian by preparing specialized scientific laboratories and modern
curricula and all the necessary means to complete the educational process.

Improving academic standards and developing educational opportunities as
well as expanding and diversifying the funding base.
